How do I obtain a report on traffic for a particular mailbox, a group of mailboxes, or the whole organization?
Note: Information contained in this article applies to Promodag Reports version 8.

Question:

I would like to run a report on messages sent and/or received by a particular user, a group of mailboxes, or by all users in my organization. How do I do that ?

Answer:

You should run the General Mailbox Traffic report (go to Reports > Mailbox Traffic) and apply the following settings:
  • Period tab: Select a period for your report.
  • Selection tab: Mailboxes by: Mailbox (or Server, Active Directory container, Department...). This is where your will select one or more user mailboxes (or all mailboxes in the organization).
  • Group tab: No grouping (Organization). Select the Total check box.
  • Partners tab: You may either display all partners, or only some of them (e.g. Exchange, Internet for internal and external traffic).
  • Options tab: Check the 1 message radio button.
  • Content tab: This is where you will select the detail level of your final report (select at least the Mailbox check box, unless you simply need a grand total). Optional mailbox attribute may be set to Email address, for example.
  • Presentation tab: Your own choice.
  • Output tab: Your own choice (Screen, Printer, Disk file, Email recipient, Exchange folder, Sharepoint).
