Exchange directory
Connecting via LDAP
To import the directory via an LDAP connection, the LDAP protocol should be enabled on your Exchange server.
If message tracking is not enabled on the Exchange server at the information store and the MTA levels, Promodag Reports will not work. Each option must be activated for all servers within a site. A decision should be made on how long these files are to be kept on the server..
NOTE: Enabling message tracking in Microsoft Exchange Server requires a Microsoft Exchange Server administrator, and can be done using the Exchange Server administrator program.
Under the site name, click on Configuration

Double click on MTA Site Configuration in the right panel to oppen the MTA Site Configuration properties, check Enable message tracking checkbox and click OK.

Under the site name, click on Configuration
Double-click on Information Store Site Configuration, check Enable message tracking and click OK.

How long should message tracking files be kept?
Microsoft Exchange Server keeps message tracking files for 7 days by default. This can be changed on a per server basis to accommodate your needs. For example, if you intend to import message tracking files in PROMODAG Reports only once a month, set the parameter to keep message tracking files for 31 days.
In Exchange Administrator, choose the server you want to modify.

Double-click on System Attendant in the right panel to access the System Attendant Properties. Change the number of days message tracking files should be kept.

To enable message archival on your Internet Mail Connector, click on Connections under the Configuration menu.
NOTE: You have to be a Microsoft Exchange Server administrator and use the Exchange Server administrator program.

Double-click on Internet Mail Connector in the right panel to access Internet Mail Connector Properties.

Under the Diagnostics Logging tab, set Message Archival to Maximum.
NOTE: You must restart the service using the control panel for the changes to take effect.
