The size of an SQL database is limited by disk space on the SQL Server, whereas performance is determined by the power of the SQL server.

There is no formula for estimating the size of a PROMODAG database in a particular environment, since some or most Exchange message tracking file events may be filtered but not imported.

To estimate the size of a PROMODAG database, follow these steps:

1. Create a new SQL database.
2. Import the directory only.
3. Write down the size of the database at that step.
4. Import messages tracking files for 15 days (evaluation version limitation).
5. Write down the size of the database at that step.
6. With the approximate size for 15 days of imports, you can estimate size for 1 month or more by simply adding or multiplying.
