Q10053 - HOWTO: Use existing batches and report options files (Promodag Reports v.7) ?

Note: information contained in this article applies to Promodag Reports version 7.

To use existing batch files and report options files with version 7, follow these steps:

Copy your existing files:

  1. Locate your saved reports option files (.pro files). By default they are in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Promodag\Reports\6\Batches
  2. Copy these files to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Promodag\Reports\7\Batches, the default directory for batch files in version 7.
  3. Repeat these two steps for your batch files (.prb files)

Convert Reports Option file to version 7 format:

You do not need to recreate your reports from scratch, but you must load them in version 7 and verify that configured options are correct, then save them in version 7 format. To perform this task, follow these steps:

  1. Launch PROMODAG Reports.
  2. Select Tools > Reports Automation. All the batch files you transferred will display.
  3. Click on each report displayed in the right panel, then click the Load button.
PROMODAG Reports will warn you that the report has an old format and that it needs to be saved with the new format.
  4. Check the desired options for the report and check the generated report.
  5. Once you are satisfied with the result, save the report.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for all reports.
