Q10054 - FAQ: Exchange connection settings problems

Exchange connection problems frequently occur when Exchange System Manager is installed on the workstation along with Outlook. We do not recommend this type of installation since it is not supported by Microsoft, see their Knowledge Base.

Promodag Reports version 7:

If choosing a MAPI profile causes PROMODAG Reports 7.x to lock up, use your Outlook installation program to uninstall then reinstall CDO (Collaboration Data Object). This should solve the problem and allow you to connect with a MAPI Profile.

Promodag Reports versions 7 and 8:

If you cannot access the directory while setting up the MAPI connection on PROMODAG Reports (all versions), uninstall and reinstall the Outlook MAPI Service Providers components. This being done, you should be able to open the directory and select a mailbox.
