Transfer Agent is a complementary tool to PROMODAG Reports for Microsoft Exchange Server.

enables large organizations with sites separatedby no or low bandwidth link to collect tracking files from their Exchange servers in a central location.
Tracking files
are zipped and transferred using the email backbone.

: a central module and one or more satellites.

Requirements
The Central module
It is installed in the same site as PROMODAG Reports.
It sends a file transfer request to its satellites at regular intervals using email messages; receives the tracking files from the satellites; and stores them in one directory for each server.
To run the Central module you need
A Windows workstation with enough disk space to store the log files of your Exchange servers
A specific mailbox to receive tracking files from Satellites
The Satellite module(s)
It is installed at the remote site where the Exchange servers are located.
It receives a file transfer request from the central module using email messages, then zips and transfers the tracking files from one or more Exchange servers to the Central module.
To run the Satellite module you need
A Windows workstation with access to the log files of your Exchange servers
A specific mailbox to send tracking files into the Central module
