Major incident: error "The syntax is not supported by this runspace. This can occur if the runspace is in no-language mode".

Following the April 2021 cumulative update, Microsoft disabled the WinRM scripts that Promodag Reports was using. As a result, the PowerShell commands submitted by the reporting tool fail with the following error: "The syntax is not supported by this runspace. This can occur if the runspace is in no-language mode". 

The Exchange Team Blog confirms that this is a known issue.

This major incident potentially affects all Promodag Reports users whose organization is on-premises or hybrid. We recommend that they download and install version 11.2.0072 without delay to fix this problem.
